Age Limit: A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years for unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-servicemen, 43 years for OBC/MOBC, and 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD), on 1t January/2020 as per Govt. office Memorandum vide No. ABP-6/2016/51, dtd. 2-9-2020. This relaxation shall be applicable only to those candidates who have attained the necessary educational or other qualifications prior to the crossing of their existing upper age limit of 40 years.

Salary: PB-2 Rs. 14,000/- to Rs.60,500/- plus Grade Pay and other allowances.

Eligibility Criteria for LP School under BTC Education Department

Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary School:

Essential Qualification & experiences: 

(a) Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education

or

Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE Regulation, 2002.

Or

Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

Or

Senior Secondary (or  equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education(Special Education).

And

(b) Passed in Assam BTC TET for LPS, conducted by the Elementary Education Department, Assam

 

Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary School:

Essential Qualification & experiences: 

Graduate from UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed.

or  D.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed.(Special Education) and passed in Assam / BTC TET for UPS Conducted by Elementary Education Department, Assam.

Assistant  Science Teacher for Upper Primary School:

Essential Qualification & experiences: 

B.Sc.  from UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed. or  D.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed.(Special Education) and passed in Assam / BTC TET for UPS Conducted by Elementary Education Department, Assam

Assistant  Hindi Teacher for Upper Primary School:

Essential Qualification & experiences: 

Graduate from UGC recognized University having Provin / Ratna in Hindi with 50% mark with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed. or  D.Ed. (Special Education) or B.Ed.(Special Education) and passed in Assam / BTC TET for UPS Conducted by Elementary Education Department, Assam.

The candidate who has completed the 18-month D.El.Ed. course from the NIOS (ODL) will be treated as par and equally with the other candidates who have completed the 2-year course for the purpose of this recruitment process.
